Denise Hughes
Denise Hughes is a visual artist based in Eastleigh who works with mixed media, watercolours, paper cutting and acrylics, and she has recently become one of the first artists to join Eastleigh's newest creative hub at The Sorting Office.
She creates pet portraits by commission, runs a face painting company called Busy Bees Face Painting and works as a freelance illustrator, producing designs for greetings cards and gift manufacturers which are sold worldwide. Her illustrations have been described as playful, fun and quirky.
Denise holds a degree in fine art from Winchester School of Art and has exhibited her work in Winchester and in public spaces in the surrounding area.
She has recently opened an online shop, Paintbubble on Etsy, and is currently working towards producing a folio of children’s book illustrations.
