Eastleigh shoppers entertained by renowned dance company
A sofa on wheels, a rail of colourful costumes and a mock TV crew helped to transform the town centre in Eastleigh into an outdoor performance space when the award-winning integrated dance company StopGAP premiered its new work to shoppers for free in Leigh Road.
The internationally-renowned company that features both disabled and non-disabled dancers performed SPUN Productions, a wry take on the popularity of TV talent shows.
This vibrant piece of dance theatre has been choreographed to animate public spaces during the Cultural Olympiad.
The event was part of The Point’s annual Dance Festival that runs until the 26th June and features a host of free performances and workshops. For more information visit www.thepointeastleigh.co.uk.
